About This Aguila .22 Long Rifle Ammunition
¡Hecho en México, bebé! Aguila was founded in collaboration with Remington back in 1961, and today they operate independently as one of America’s trustiest 22 LR suppliers. Their Super Extra ammo is super for target practice – you might want to order extra!
This round’s 40 gain bullet is loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,255 fps. That means two important things: You will get the flat, accurate trajectory you need when you’re trying to land bullseyes, and your semi-automatic pistol or rifle will get enough chamber pressure to cycle and function correctly. The bullet’s copper plating is there to help minimize lead fouling, and while incapable of expansion a round nose (aka solid point) bullet is still deadly enough to knock Brother Squirrel off of his perch.
Aguila’s 2,000-round case is divided among 40 boxes of 50 rounds apiece. Each round’s brass case has straight walls and a concentric rim for smooth functionality, a non-corrosive rimfire primer, and a carefully controlled charge of low-residue propellant. Can you ever really have enough 22 LR ammo?
