Red-dot-ready handguns have become more and more of a regular feature in today’s market, and EAA Corp. is joining the growing collection of options with its MC1911 SC Ultimate, a 1911-style handgun sized right for concealed carry and cut for a red-dot optic.
“We at EAA are very proud of the engineering feat Girsan has accomplished and are very excited to release the MC1911 SC out into the marketplace,” said Chase Duffey, national sales & imports manager at EAA. “I firmly believe our customers will be very pleased with the functionality and performance of this concealed-carry pistol.”
Available in both .45 ACP and 9 mm Luger, the new EAA Girsan MC1911 SC Ultimate is equipped with a short 3.4″ barrel and a subcompact frame with a magazine capacity of six rounds in .45 ACP and seven rounds in 9 mm Luger. Each pistol is equipped with windowed G10 laminate grip panels, giving shooters an easy way to see their remaining magazine capacity by simply glancing at either side of the frame.
At the top of the gun is a milled slide cut for a red-dot optic, and the MC1911 SC Ultimate is available with a factory-installed red-dot. The rear sight sits on top of the cover plate when the optic slot is not in use. When ordered with the included 4-m.o.a. Far-Dot optic, the optic housing features a built-in fiber-optic rear sight that works in concert with the steel front post as a back-up sighting option.
The Girsan MC1911 SC Ultimate is also equipped with a bilateral thumb safety and features an enlarged beavertail grip safety to prevent hammer bit and ensure activation of the grip safety. The gun is also equipped with a three-hole trigger and a skeletonized hammer. Each pistol features slide serrations at the rear for manipulation.
